It’s been a few weeks since I’ve had time to actually write anything down, which sucks because more has happened in my life in the past three weeks than it has in all my seventeen, (soon to be eighteen) years. Basically we are on the run from Lorsan, the dark elf king, while also looking for the Book of the Elves, which he stole (butt head), while at the same time attempting to shut down the sale of Rapture, a liquid drug the dark elves devised to enslave the human race. If you ask me their goals are a little lofty, but then nobody asked me, and therein lies their problem. But our problems don’t end there. On top of trying to get Rapture out of the human realm and taking out Lorsan, we also have to rescue Cassie’s parents. Apparently there’s a dark elf who is delusional and believes Cassie is his Chosen reincarnated. So naturally he thought kidnapping her parents would win her heart. Loser. What happen to love notes and flowers? Anyways, now you’re caught up, roughly. The point is, life is about as jacked up as it can get at the moment. I would like to be able to give some Braveheart worthy speech and say that we totally got this, but honestly, I have no idea if we can pull this off.” ~ Elora

Very typical Quinn Loftis, if you like the other books in this series, and particularly the Grey Wolves series, this is going to be a book you enjoy. If you don't like her writing, this is not a book for you. I did knock off a star because the book really needed a final runthrough by a good editor - several mistakes were made. Also, as much as I love Quinn, this is basically the same as another story she wrote, and the characters all sound the same - ancient elfin warriors won't just change their speech patter and manage to sound just like 18 year old girls. Even if they wanted to, they can't just learn new speech like that. And the nicknames - you aren't going to start calling someone a nickname if you have called them the same thing for centuries, because their name is not going to be strange or difficult for you after all that time.Product details

If you have ever even read one page of Quinn Loftis books you know you are now a die hard fan! I started in the Gray Wolf series and now have a great time hanging with the cast of characters in the Elfin series. There is always love, heartache, amazing wit, and times you might just pee your pants from laughter.
I started this series not certain I would like it. I was certainly wrong. I absolutely fell in love with it. Hot elves who have a need to protect the ones they love and ladies who can hold their own. It's a great story and I happen to love the ending. It's bittersweet because I will miss the series and characters but I'm excited for Lisa's story. It's a series worth reading. Quinn is an amazing author so you can't go wrong with anything she writes
It's not often that a book can have me crying and laughing all in the same paragraph. This book overall is great, but it took me a bit longer to read than it did the other ones. I have no idea why, but it just didn't hold my attention like the last two did. The story was great and I was more than surprised the Elora was spelled and not Cassie. But those last chapters man just had me on the edge of my seat. Can't wait to find out who R is!!!!!!!
Usually, I can overlook when a little editing is needed. Most times it is small. However, this book had many problems an ARC could of helped with. Besides that and its many glaring issues, the story was okay. It had a good ending and left you wanting a little more. It wasn't as good as the first two but still somewhat enjoyable.
the story is really good but I give it 3 stars b/c of the INCREDIBLE number of errors!!! The errors are so bad that it actually makes it difficult to smoothly read the book!!!! AND then books 2 and 3 had less than 20 chapters!!! more like 15 chapters each for 3.99 !!! I wish I'd known before I purchased either. If they were actual books that I could BURN I would burn this series b.c of the annoying errors and very few chapters. It's a RIP OFF in other words!!!
First book of this three part series was free. If I enjoy the writing style of a new author I will buy the whole series. As you can see I'm reviewing for book 3. A few reviews criticize this third installment but I thought all the books blended well together to make for a perfect story. My only complaint is the age of Cassie (18) & Flora (17) both still in high school, still virgins & both getting married. I guess it really isn't a complaint if I enjoy & own all the Twilight movies, which fall in line with these books. That Cassie become a Queen of an entire race, now that is a little far fetched. Please give us Lisa's story, I despise the cliff hanger you left!
This was an ehh ok read. After the build up from the first two books in the series I kept waiting on this big final battle between Trik and Lorsan that never really happened. There was a whole lot of hurry up and wait going on which made the book drag . This book was a little anticlimactic for me and the epilogue was really wasted.
This was my least favorite book in the series but I think that the series as a whole was a good read.
